Hands-On Small Business IT Security Workshop – October 23rd / October 24th, 2019

Join us for a Small Business I.T. Security Workshop

We’ll be providing a dedicated demo environment with Microsoft 365 Business technology for you to learn how small businesses can improve cybersecurity defenses in these two, free, hands-on workshops. The workshops will be live and in-person events where you can learn and experience first-hand security features that will keep employees working productively while keeping your business data secure.

The two workshops (same content in both) are geared towards small business owners that may not have an Information Technology (I.T.) staff, but they know they need to know more about cybersecurity, and how they can protect their business from current cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

The workshops will explain the threats in plain English, demonstrate live simulations of cyber attacks, and provide numerous priority security measures that can be implemented within hours or days of completing the workshop.

Today’s Small Business IT environment is challenging

Once a firewall, PC antivirus, email filtering, and backup were enough to protect your business

Small Business IT Security - Modern-Day Threats

With data moving to the cloud, increased mobile access, and cybercriminals getting more and more sophisticated, times have changed.

If you work at a small or medium-sized business (SMB), you probably juggle multiple roles. Increasingly, that includes cybersecurity. Gone are the days when cybercrime was exclusively a big business problem. In the modern workplace all businesses are at risk, regardless of their size or industry. Today businesses recognize that implementing a cybersecurity program, much like hiring people and growing sales, is an essential part of running a company.

Learn the Basics of Cybersecurity for your Small Business

A majority of SMBs are beginning to take steps to protect their businesses and users with regular practices, such as keeping software up-to-date and enforcing strong passwords. More than half have deployed anti-phishing and anti-virus software to protect against outside threats, and a similar number have a process for monitoring alerts and threats. But, it can also be challenging to know if you have the right balance of protection relative to your risk. Some businesses wonder if they are big enough to even be noticed by hackers or if they should worry about employee theft or accidental leaking of sensitive information.
