Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security E3

What is Microsoft EMS E3?

Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS) offers users a wide range of tools and features to improve data security and device mobility for companies integrated with the cloud. The EMS suite includes Microsoft applications that address many of the challenges that modern companies face today, including security concerns and mobile device connectivity. The suite provides the following apps:

Azure Active Directory

Azure Active Directory offers many features regarding user identity, authentication, and sign-in. The Secure Single Sign-on feature allows users to sign-in to file servers, email, social media, and over 800 different online applications with just one log-in from any device. Owners may enable features like Multifactor Authentication to increase security and confirm user identity with their mobile device. This application also allows for conditional access, a function that allows administrators to restrict users from logging onto their company account based on certain conditions. It also reports multiple failed log-in attempts and other suspicious activities.

Azure Information Protection

Azure Information Protection (AIP) ensures that your companies shared data is secure. AIP provides many features that will keep sensitive information from going where it was not intended. Emails that contain private information can be adjusted so only certain users can view them. Additional features can prevent an email from being forwarded, edited, copied, or viewed all together. Conditional access settings allow only selected users to view documents or emails. Files and emails may be encrypted to ensure that no data leakage ensues. Other settings allow users to view which people are accessing documents and when. These settings are easy and simple to enable; making sure only the right people have access to important information.

Microsoft Advanced Threat Analytics

Microsoft Advanced Threat Analytics (ATA) alerts users of any suspicious activities within their network. ATA utilizes machine learning to detect and alert users of potential malicious attacks, abnormal behavior, or potential risks. Users will be notified if any questionable activities like anomalous logins, password sharing, privilege escalation, and modifications to sensitive groups or policies occur. ATA can also alert users of security risks and issues like weak or broken protocols and suggest easy fixes to remedy the situation. The Enterprise Mobility + Security suite promises high quality data security with the best user experience to offer.
